Early Voting
When: Tuesday, October 13 - Friday, October 30
What it means: A period of time where voters can cast their ballot in the weeks prior to election day.
Where: You can vote at ANY polling place in your county during early voting.

Vote By Mail
When: Up to Tuesday, November 3
What it means: Voters who meet a specific criteria, such as being disabled or out of the county on Election Day, can cast their ballot by mail.
How: Complete this application and mail it to your county elections administrator as soon as possible.

General Election
When: Tuesday, November 3
What it means: Election day is the last day voters can cast their ballots in the 2020 election.
Where: Identify your polling location and cast your ballot between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on election day.
01. Early Voting
Why early vote?
Early voting is a great way to avoid long lines and wait times on election day. You can vote at any polling location in your country and at any point during the early voting period. Early voting also includes weekends, allowing you to more easily fit voting into your schedule.
02. Vote By Mail
Can I vote by mail?
In Texas, vote by mail is available to voters who are 65 or older, disabled, confined in jail or will be out of the county on Election Day and during the early voting period. If you know you will not be in Travis County during the election, you should apply for a mail-in ballot as soon as possible!

Voting Safety in the 2020 Election
01. Monitor Your Health
Self-screen before heading to the polls. If you are feeling any symptoms associated with COVID-19—such as shortness of breath, fever, cough or sore throat—consider curbside voting to keep you and those around you safe.
02. Arrive Early
Try to vote during the early voting period to avoid long lines and crowds. Check the Travis County Clerk website to monitor which polling locations show longer wait times during early voting. If you are voting on election day, arrive early and give yourself extra time to safely cast your ballot.
03. Wear A Mask
Be sure to arrive with a face covering over your nose and mouth when entering the polling place or when within 6ft of another individual to keep you and others safe.
04. Social Distance
To the extent you can, maintain 6 feet of separation from others at your polling location.
05. Practice Good Hygiene
Practice good hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness and sanitation by washing your hands or using hand sanitizer prior to handling anything at your polling location.
06. Use A Fingercot
Polling location should provide fingercots allowing voters to safely cast their ballot when interacting with polling equipment.
